Client: Red Bull
Brief: Red Bull required a stimulating, fun and completely different marketing conference to launch their marketing plans for 2011. The Red Bull team are a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic bunch who would come with high expectations due to the nature of their brand.
Event: D3 Active worked closely with the marketing team and created a 2 day conference coined the Red Bull Festival 2010. We created a premium ‘festival’ arena using Bell tents for sleeping with a centre piece of three giant hat tents combining to give a chilled out space with bean bags, poufs, table fires and the all essential Red Bull bar! A festival ambience was created outside with communal fire pits, festival lighting, bush candles, hammocks and the Red Bull Event Vehicle providing the sound system to kick off the party!
The launch of the marketing plans utilised the Octagon room at the Castle which provided a relaxed but more formal atmosphere for the business plans to be discussed. The day then progressed outside with a wide range of activities run as a fun competition between teams who were all dressed in animal costumes (you had to be there to understand). That evening activities around the camp were on offer such as volley ball and archery, along with an intimate secret woodland gig and a substantial BBQ .
Testimonial from Imogen Pudduck – Head of Brand, Red Bull Company Limited."We have always talked about having our very own festival so we thought it would be fun to try it out against our marketing team who can be a pretty demanding bunch! It was a hands down success and one of the best conferences we have held yet, a no mean feat! It was so smoothly run by the D3 crew, every requirement we asked for was delivered (even the slightly strange ones!) and had the perfect balance of flexibility, fun & allowing us to indulge our not so quiet competitive sides! It is still something that is talked about with great warmth and excitement by the Red Bull team – we couldn’t have asked for more…well perhaps slightly better weather perhaps…but hey…you can’t have everything!"
